There was a time I thought I had everything. USC business school. Recruited as one of seven in the country. Youngest VP in twenty years. Fast cars. Exclusive restaurants. Nightclubs. Beautiful women. I had status. I had money. I had attention. And I truly believed that meant I was blessed.
But I wasn’t blessed - I was distracted. Because none of it touched my soul. The applause was loud, but my heart was empty. The lights were bright, but my spirit was dark. I was climbing higher and higher in the world… while drifting further and further from God. But it was headed in the wrong direction. So by the grace of God, I jumped. I stepped away from the ego, the pride, the constant need to prove myself. I walked away from worshipping success and started worshipping Christ.
